Fakistra, a beach that has been awarded from many travel websites and has entered into several lists of the best beaches in Greece. It is close to Tsagarada, just a few minutes drive. We have received a few questions about how to get to Fakistra and what’s the difficulty of the path. So we are ready to answer to your questions with useful information and many pictures.
First, you will have to turn left just after entering Tsagarada, the sign writes “Mylopotamos”. Follow the road and the signs to “Fakistra” . The road has 2-3 tight turns but you will soon reach the point where the road ends and there is space to park your car. There you will find a gazebo and a sign that directs you to the path of writing that is 20 minutes walk. We have done much less time!
So, we visited and photographed the route to know what awaits you! The slope at the beginning of the route is actually a bit steep for the first few minutes to go down but the rest of the path is fully compatible with many shady places where after a beautiful trail drives you to the beach. Next to the beach is the starting point of the hiking route to Krifo Scholio (=secret school). Totally worth a visit, the route is easy and we suggest you to try it!
