A magical landscape that every resident or visitor to the District of Farsala deserves to visit are the Narthaki waterfalls. A rare spot if you consider that you are in the plain of Thessaly and whether you are from the region or not, it does not cross your mind that in the “middle” of the plain there will be waterfalls.
Just a few minutes from Farsala and a short distance from most villages and 45 minutes from Larissa, a beautiful landscape in the “Loutzaki” location between the villages of Narthaki and Kastraki in Farsala that really takes you to other exotic places. Many residents of the District have been visiting the waterfalls during this time when the weather has started to improve, either for a relaxing and peaceful walk or to have a picnic, while many are the brave ones who have dared to swim there despite the fact that the waters are still quite cold. At this particular point, the Enipeas River rushes down from three different points, passing by the “Old Mill of Tsangalis” and forming a beautiful blue-green lake among the rocks. It is truly a place worth visiting and spending some time in a magical landscape created by nature. Right next to the waterfalls, there is a ruined building, the Bethlehem watermill (whose name was given by the miller’s wife who was called that way, as well as a cave that collapsed and its stalactites and stalagmites are visible!!!
