Elati is one of the most developed villages in the prefecture of Trikala located on Mount Koziakas! The old name of the village was ”Tyrna” until 1955. Before you ascend the slopes of Koziakas worth a stop on arch bridge immediately after Pyli. Elati is located at an altitude of 950 meters. Elati has about 400 permanent residents who work in tourism, farming and logging.

The main activity of visitors are hiking the trails or the direction of the forest Koziaka either in the village. Many try the climbing area located in Red Rock with six routes. To approach the crag follow the uphill side of the booth at the entrance of the village before the first gas station. In 50 meters above and on the main road on your right it’s the starting point for the paths of Koziakas. Also worth visiting the church of Koimiseos Theotokou builted in 1822.
In Elati you will eat very good! Worth trying goat meat, wild boar, goat soup and pork. You will definitely stay excited, the food served is delicious!
