Monastery of the Twelve Apostles (Red Church)
There are two different interpretations involving the name of the monastery situated in the western edge of Karditsa. It’s a monastery that accommodates only nuns, eight to be exact, who constitute a fraternity including the nuns of Agios Georgios Karaiskakis monastery. An Asylum for Incurable was founded in an area very close to this monastery, fully equipped to accommodate one hundred patients.
