The sea side is very clean, deep and usually has small waves. The beach is wide enough with sand and small pebbles towards the sea. There is plenty of space for activities such as racquetball, frisbee, beach volley and beach soccer on the beach.

The only place on the coast that is green, and provides some shade, is at the rocks of Velika. A large part of the beach has beach bars and taverns. Those shops have organized their part of the beach with sun beds and umbrellas which are free after, of course, you order something to drink or eat. Along the coast there are beach volleyball, basketball, tennis and beach soccer courts. The beach is visited by thousands of tourists every year. They come here to enjoy the clean beach with the crystal clear Aegean waters and to indulge in water sports such as Wind surf, Kite Surf and Jet Ski that take place at the beach of Velika.
