Aghia Kyriaki, a picturesque fishing village in southern Pelion. As we have mentioned in our other articles, southern Pelion has a wild beauty that sets you up and makes you want to visit it again. Thus, Aghia Kyriaki, is located at the lowest point of Pelion, where Pagasitikos gulf meets Evoikos gulf. The road to Aghia Kyriaki is all comfortable, it is about 1 hour away from Volos (80km) and it moves by the sea passing through villages such as Argalasti, Horto, Milina etc.

Aghia Kyriaki is actually a picturesque settlement with 2-3 taverns with no cafe-bar or tourist shops. There the time goes slower to other rhythms and the food next to the sea is really enjoyable. If you visit Aghia Kyriaki, do not forget to try crayfish spaghetti served in the fish taverns of the settlement (tip: closer to Volos, in the village of Kottes you can also eat delicious fish). It is also worth seeing the church of Agia Kyriaki which was built in 1886 as well as the folklore museum that is one of the most interesting. Nearby there's a lighthouse built in 1854 by the French Lighthouse Company with a tower height of 9 meters and a focal height of 16 meters.

From Agia Kyriaki begins the 30 minutes trail to Trikeri, as well as the Mylos to the lighthouse, a 20-minute coastal route. The seabed of Aghia Kyriaki is also interesting, since at its bottom and at a depth of 17 meters there is the "Kali tichi"(=Good Luck), a 36 meters long shipwreck in the harbor sunk since 1975.
